Cobalt Polymers engineers develop new 74D Pebax Heat Shrink Tubing to meet customer needs
We’re always looking for new solutions to our customers’ medical device challenges. In response to customer needs, our R&D engineers recently leveraged their polymer expertise to develop a new 74D version of our 2:1 and 4:1 ratio Pebax Heat Shrink Tubing.
This new tubing offers:
More rigidity while maintaining flexibility
Additional hardness and column strength
Excellent clarity
We think it could be a great solution for neurovascular, peripheral vascular, and implant delivery applications when you want a more robust polymer matrix.
Our new 74D 4:1 ratio Pebax Heat Shrink Tubing is comparable to thin-wall PET heat shrink tubing. It offers more hardness than other Pebax tubing, while still retaining the flexibility of thermoplastic elastomers. It also offers the unique properties of Pebax, including bonding to an underlying substrate and eliminating the cumbersome reflow process.
At Cobalt Polymers, we’re excited about adding new products to meet our customers’ needs. Our engineers are committed to pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in heat shrink tubing.
